Flash! Divers salvaging the remains of the Nautilus have recovered what appears to be Captain Nemo’s personal flash drive, or Pocket Memory, as they were once called. Even more amazing, the device still functions. Given its look, this beautiful copper and brass creation from the workshop of Will Rockwell looks like it really could have been Captain Nemos flash drive. Can you count all the repurposed screws, rivets and gears?

A 1998 Nerf Lightning Blitz modded. I never did post my other nerf mods (yet, I don’t know if I will or not) but this is my 3rd nerf mod. This took hours. The “worms” and chicken are all made of clay and painted. The whole gun had a repaint job.
Some inspiration came from the anime Rin:daughters of mnemosyne. (it’s mature anime, for nudity and violence in case anyone gets any ideas to watch it.) Which was a little bit of a freaky anime but ultimately after it was all said and done I really enjoyed it.
Those illuminating green tubes might look a bit OTT, but check out the intricate exposed mechanisims on the front panel. Jon Valjean’s Jules Verne won first prize in the xLAN case mod competition it’s easy to see why.

Recycling waste of our industrial society is the inspiration of my artwork. All of my sculptures are entirely hand made from recycled scrap metal such as copper, brass and steel . I create art with all kinds of technology and techniques to soften the design despite the roughness and robust properties of the material. Therefore I create art with a respectful atmosphere and sometimes funny or even cynical view of reality. My work emphasizes a balance between the form and function. It blurs the line between utensil and decoration. I’ve created various functional objects such as lamps and clocks who’ve been made from heavy metal scrap into mechanical decoration with an industrial style which I like to call Steampunk Art.
I am not sure if I will be using this in the house I am designing but the stove did need a few things. I made another brass bucket for the coal it uses and a much smaller copper teapot to go on the back burner today. Now I must make a coal shovel for it.
This was once the plastic the Chrysnbon parlor stove. It was in my very first post. I thought it was sort of sad looking in plastic. The kit it had lots of bright silvery “nickel” parts. I thought about casting those pieces in nickel silver for a duller look but decided against it.
